It’s been a while, but here we are. DC’s Dark Knights Metal officially kicks off today (it’s gonna go fast, grab it while you can.) Marvel continues it’s omage to Jack Kirby with some more True Believers reprints, along with their fast selling Generations series. A relatively slow week for comic fans, but the offerings we do have this week are delicious.

Now……

This past week has been amazing. Red Dog #4, Eclipse #7, and so much more just days after Houston’s Comicpalooza (more on that to come). After a slight delay, DC’s Button series continues, and rumor has it that it will lead up to the Countdown to Doomsday event. Looks like DC is working a pretty awesome long game. After a huge delay, Justice League VS Mighty Morphin Power Rangers continues with issue #4 (it’s about time). Meanwhile, Image celebrates its 25th anniversary and Spawn’s Anniversary with reprints of Spawn #1 and an array of Spawn variant covers for other titles. Marvel continues their Secret Empire with issue #2 and drops a new Luke Cage #1 and Generation X #1.

It’s never a bad week to be a comic book reader.

DC is at it again. On the tail of the incredible He-Man/Thundercats, and the riveting Justice League/Power Rangers, the power house drops four more crossovers; Adam Strange/Future Quest, Booster Gold/The Flintstones, Green Lantern/Space Ghost, and the Suicide Squad/The Banana Splits. Watch out for these titles, they’re going to be HOT!!! Not to mention the long awaited DKIII #8.

Yeah I know, I missed last week. Well, not to worry. Scroll down to the bottom of this page to see last week’s releases.

This week we have a lot to be grateful for, it’s like Christmas. Reprints, trades and more proliferate the racks. The Beauty, Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Core, and Dollface just to name a few. Not to mention the fact that Action Comics is pushing close to issue #1000. That issue will almost assuredly be one bear of a book. Well, I’ve wasted enough of your time……

It’s a week flooded with awesome trade releases and it’s hard to go wrong. As per usual, it’s nearly impossible to have an interest that isn’t in comic book form. With the large amount of trades released today, the book that is perfect for you probably released today. Don’t sit on the fence on whether or not you’ll enjoy it, pull the trigger and be amazed.

Buckle up kiddos, it’s going to be an awesome week.

Anyway, IT’S TIME TO RAID THE RACKS!!!

Comics are one of those things that will spend weeks being pretty good, and then on week will drop a figurative piano of greatness on your head. Call this piano week. JLA V Power Rangers, JLA Rebirth #1, three new true believers issues, Hal Jordan, Clark Kent, Jessica Jones, Kingpin and top it all off with Moonshine, and that’s a helluva week.

Buckle up kiddos, it’s going to be an awesome week.

As usual, it’s a great week to be a reader. DC’s Justice League VS Mighty Morphin Power Rangers makes its debut, Nerdery favorite, Moonshine, unleashes its fourth issue, and most of all 451Media’s Red Dog #2 is now available to the masses. We also have rumor of Liv Tyler’s return to the role of Betty Ross and casting suspicions of Poison Ivy.

It’s rarely a bad week to be a comic book fan, but the last decade has been more than kind to us. Yes, we all know that guy who just watched a movie or two and is now pestering you with questions. Be kind and share your wealth of knowledge. You weren’t always the encyclopedia you are today. One day he may become an encyclopedia as well. Share your nerdism with the people around you, it will ensure its survival.

Thundercats, He-Man, Superman, Batman, Spiderman, and THANOS!! It’s a stellar week to be a comic book reader. Then again, it’s almost impossible for there to be a bad week. Marvel is shelling the market with new titles everyweek. Some of these #1’s are destined to be one shots, and others will see years of life. Either way, be sure to get what you can while you can.

Meanwhile, you can expect some big news to come from The Nerdery in the next few months. We’re making a lot of friends, raising more money, and getting new equipment. Plus, don’t miss your chance to vote on The Best of 2016 poll in a few weeks!!

Now that the Presidential Election is over, we can get back to the things we love, comics. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m dying to know what happened to Hal Jordan and Sinestro in that explosion of will. Invinsible Iron Man #1’s cover gives us a Riri Williams as Ironheart, that should be a good read. Don’t forget to go visit our friends over at Captain Jacks E-lixers and All Star Comics!
