Free Comic Book Day is this Saturday and we’re going to be out at Toxic City Comics celebrating and meeting with all of you guys!!! We’re excited to meet and greet out listeners and readers, and urge you to take advantage of that! We’ll be there from open till the comics are GONE! For those of you wondering what comics are being released for FCBD, I’ve given you a list down below. I know that for #WoW I give you guys some cover photos, so I did it again here.

FCBD is a day for comic fans to celebrate every first Saturday in May. It is exactly what it sounds like. Comic book publishers print one or two books specifically for FCBD. You walk into your local comic book store, pick out what books you want (some retailers set a limit), and you get those books FOR FREE. It really doesn’t get much easier.

If you’ve ever wanted to get into comics, like comics but don’t want to spend any money, you officially have no excuse. So, get down to  Toxic City Comics this Saturday, get some free comics, and hang out with us!!!!!

It’s a great week to be a comic book reader. Vertigo, Dynamite, and Image are making their presence known. Marvel continues Secret Wars with both ongoing and new titles. DC shows us they still have some tricks up their sleeves as well.

The BIG news this week is the Archie reboot from M&M comics. This #1 is getting a huge selection of variant covers, including the one shown above, which is done by our friends at All Star Comics. Chris Foreman did all the pencils and ink, and colors were done by Kris Asbeck. These guys have talent beyond compare, and we should see a lot more of them.

Chris Foreman does take commissions, and has an incredible portfolio. You can connect with him through his twitter, here, or his instagram here.
