FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2017!!!!

It’s that time of year again, first Saturday in May, Free Comic Book Day. In case you weren’t aware, the first Saturday in EVERY May most comic book stores (check with your local retailer to see if they are participating) have FREE comic books to give away (check with participating retailers as most have a limit of 3-5 books per person).  For those in the Houston area, come hang out with us at All Star Comics & Games in Baytown, or Dimensions Comics in Seabrook!!!

THE BEST OF 2016 POLL RESULTS

Alright, the polls are closed and you have chosen the Best of 2016. Some of these results were really close. We had to bring in a tie breaker on more than a few of these categories. But, 2016 was a great year for nerds and 2017 looks to be an even better one.

Bose Proves They’re Better

Sometimes you run into a piece of technology that really surprises you, and it can be shocking how much was left out of the manufacturer’s description. Well, this was one of those cases for me: Bose Quiet Comfort 35 Wireless Headphones, Noise Cancelling – Black. What a great headset! Even in off mode, sound is noticeably canceled out when you put them on. Then you link them up, and the sound is perfect. It comes through so clear, you can hear every tone and every beat. What’s The NFL?

What’s Coming For The Nerdery

Several months back, we took the time to let you, the good people, know what we were up to. Among that list was a YouTube channel for our podcasts and interviews. Unfortunately, all that has made it on the channel so far is too videos of a round table with Kevin Eastman. Last week we did a live video feed on vape.tv but still no YouTube. As of this morning, I’m happy to report that promise is finally reaching fruition. Last night, a live streaming test was performed with great success! So, look forward to seeing our ugly mugs every Sunday night!!

What’s Out Wednesday 12/30/15

So, last month DC reached the most popular comic title with Dark Knight III: The Master Race. Marvel grabbed numbers two and three with Star Wars: Vader Down and Deadpool #1 respectively. What do you think took number one this month? My money is on DKIII again. However, it’s still anyone’s game. There’s never a dull moment in the comic industry, and with everything we have to choose from this week, it’ll be hard to pick just one. So go get your fix, and GO VOTE FOR THE BEST OF 2015.
