WoW What A Feast

World of Warcraft, the worlds most subscribed MMORPG, recently put on a lot of weight with the release of its Warlords of Draenor expansion.  It’s subscriber base swelled back to over the ten million mark for the first time in many years. But apparently the feast is over.  Since the expansions release in November of last year the current subscriber count has dropped by three million.  Are Blizzard or their partner Activision worried? Not really.

WoW is a money printing machine, even with the loss of so many players they are still raking in around $90,000,000 per month in subscription fees alone and let’s not forget their little mobile money maker, Hearthstone, which recently passed 30 million players.  Bring on the second course.
